Viejo Pescador the pseudonym for a guy who has been fishing the Texas Coast for 60 years. There was a day when I fished offshore as well as in bays and marshes, but an uncompromising spinal problem has, unfortunately, finished my days way out in open water. I still take to my Kayak and head for the marshes and back lakes of Matagorda Bay in search of redfish, speckled seatrout, and flounder. I occasionally take my 16 foot customized Boston whaler to jetties in search of big reds, sheepshead, and slashing, tearing spanish mackerel
